baby la la land
who knew that the world of "infant supplies" was so insane: travel systems? convertible car seats? stroller mania? and what kind of cribs (drop side, with or without hardware showing, la la la la la....) we spent the day at several big stores, browsing around, and think we like an italian-made crib right now, but who knows... by the time we left the store i was starving, felt like a zombie, and just wanted to go home.
zombiedom continued when we tried to make pasta tonight, which tasted delicious... but the damn machine is so finicky, such a diva, that you seriously have to sweet-talk it each time you run the pasta through, and then pray that she doesn't throw a tantrum when you are actually making linguini....
bottom line, i'm tired, glad tomorrow is a holiday, and am insanely jealous of everyone in summer climes... it is cold here (heat is set to 70 so we don't freeze), rainy, and i don't leave the house without a sweater or a jacket (usually both)....
yay for a day off tomorrow!
