change of scenery needed
we had our routines in palo alto. our grocery stores (the wonderful milk pail market !!), good drugstores, places we took walks, the restaurants we went to time and time again (Chef Chu'sChinese Restaurant, best Chinese Food ever!)... and all of that seems to take so much time here to re-establish.
we are surrounded by three gourmet/organic markets, all of which are $$$. the restaurants near us are so-so, and I'm still at the point where I just don't know where to shop, where to walk. is this the process of settling into a new town? i imagine so. i've done this every year now for a while, and as much as i really do love seattle, i've found it harder this time around. is that because i know it is permanent? is it because i'm getting older? who knows, but it has been a weird proces...
