it never rains in california? yeah, right.
off tonight to califor-nigh-aye, for 48 hours. chester the cat will be watched by lynne the catsitter, who will come by once saturday and once sunday. i'm packed and ready, and am now just waiting for my sweetie to come home.
i'm anxious about this visit because there have been some altercations with my in-laws... nothing unsolvable, but related to questions of privacy and so on. but then again, it will be nice to see them. we'll also stop by and see my grandma in marin county on sunday. and guess what: rain is scheduled for the bay area. wouldn't you just know it??
not much else, really. it has been cold all day. the washer (which was broken), got fixed yesterday, and otherwise it is just plod, plod, plodding along with the dissertation.
