we tried out a new thai restaurant tonight... and when i say new, i don't mean the one that is two blocks from where we live and ACTUALLY new**, but one that was new to us in fremont. fremont, self-described as the center of the universe, is a hippy holdback, kind of reminscent of berkeley minus the, well, berkeley. we like it, since it is lively at night, has a very cool giant troll statue, and a statue of lenin, and is not too far from where we live. so we supped on veggie spring rolls and a lemongrass soup for me, and my sweetie had a noodle tomato broccoli basil chili dish which looked spicy.
i adore the weekends, and i am glad i can hop into bed one more night without setting the alarm, before monday rolls around...
** note about the restaurant two blocks from us. it looks like a swanky thai place, with a piano bar and prices aren't supposed to be cheap. fine, no problem, but the place boasts and posts no menu, no menu is to be found online, and before going there, i'd very much like to know just how swanky it actually is... ok. enough said, enough rambled. time for a bath and then an early night's sleep....
