i lied.
i lied about writing again. or about not writing again. whatever.
so i'm writing about the use of peasantist rhetoric, 1908-1938, in the formation of the Turkish Republic. And I could be watching Mio mein Mio, a movie from 1987 (called the Land of Faraway in Engligh)... sigh.
had a good talk with cameron tonight; it will be the peace corps for her, and she wants to go to georgia. i'm glad she has been able to pull herself together and say: i want to do something for 2 years. great buddy, great decision.
