philadelphia here i am
i'm ba-ack after a long hiatus. and will update regularly, i PROMISE! (i've had some complaints!)
so, i a m back in philly. in a beautiful apartment overlooking the river. the walk is about 20 minutes to get to campus, which in the winter, will be cause to eat that extra snickers bar for the layer of fat insulation to keep warm in the ridiculously could weather. its across a bridge, no less, meaning: no shelter from the wind.
met up with all my old buddies, again, which was nice. that, for one, is a great thing in being back. otherwise, its a bit hard and tedious. i'll be applying for 6 grants and then writing for exams, so i have to pump out about 150-200 pages of coherent and smart stuff in the next 9 months. some in the next 3 weeks, which is ridiculous.
in any case, big hugs, esp. out to chicago.
