really heading out of town
all packed and ready to go. no suitcase, just 2 carry-ons. i don't want to have to wait to get luggage.

we saw lord of the rings today, and liked it, quite a bit. actually, better than the first. don't know why. i guess, at least for me, its also who you go with.

moderate anxiety, and just the "bleh, i have a lot of work" feeling that is coarsing, well, not coarsing, but just hanging out in my system. ladida, a bit nervous. ladida i'm going home. ladida i'll miss my sweetie. sort of like that, nervousness, need to do work.

for the break, i have in mind:
1) get an article ready for publication
2) do some thinktank brainstorming on the thesis, which i'll have to let the humboldt people know is "brilliant". you know?
3) prep two lecture's for leonard's class in the spring.
4) paint the kitchen.
5) oh yeah, relax.
in that order.

in any case, i'll have some slowpoke internet access at home, so i'll do my best.
