bowling for columbine
we watched bowling for columbine last night on dvd.
i think the movie was meant to beat people over the head with emotive facts and tidbits and - well, fear. in some ways, i don't think it was meant to be serious.i really don't. it was somehow a parody, though i don't think it was meant that way. i just sort of felt like it only scratched the surface with a set of interrelated and not-interrelated facts, fictions, and beliefs, and then left the viewer to figure out or take from it what they wanted. i was disappointed. but i'm glad i saw it... just to have seen it.

tired and getting increasingly more nervous about the upcoming -ohmygod- move.
yeah, sure pack enough for 1 year in 2 suitcases and a briefcase. uhm-hmm.
sure.
it scares me because i don't know exactly what it is i will be doing in germany... sure, i hedged a plan, i applied to the fellowship with the plan, got it, but now my plan feels like it has leaks. ugh, ugh. ugh.
