come to mama
i find this sort of low-pressure-system weather frustrating, headache-giving, and altogether stupid. it is summer, for #%$^&*-sake, and last summer in germany had heatwaves of up to 40 degrees centigrade. which is hot as hell, true, and i'd be happy with 25 (in the low 70s). but no, we have 12 degrees, mid50s, which is freezing. let me reiterate: WE HAVE SUMMER! weather gods, what the hell are you smoking???
we ate cake and had coffee at cron und lanz, THE cafe in town to go if you are anyone. meaning: anyone goes. everyone goes. they have scrumptious cakes which make my world go round. and i had an espresso-hot-chocolate mix which tickled my fancy. it was bitter, in that bitter sort of chocolate way, in that "come to mama" sort of way. really, really good.
