kamikaze humingbirds

so i have been sitting here drinking my getreidekaffee, aka karo kaffee, aka "pero" here in the us, a grain imitation version of coffee which does taste bitter but has not an ounce of caffeine in it. that is what i was doing when i heard a *thud*, or, rather, a *THUD*. against my window. i looked, and saw a dazed humingbird flit away. a kamikaze humingbird attack? since it is 34 degrees outside, the poor thing was probably just awful cold and confused. hitting your head against glass doesn't help matters any. he looked like he was going to be okay, but it made me feel bad.
