weather rant
apparently when i said i could handle winter weather, i lied. not that i have to handle winter weather here in california, oh no. but just looking at the pictures of chicago, new york, etc., makes me feel chilly and unhappy. seriously. hope you guys are riding it out well. the only thing that sounds appealing about getting snowed in is, well, having an excuse to curl up in bed with a book, or in front of the tv with a video.
a friend of mine from newfoundland emailed and said they are expecting wide-spread power outages. that they are being pelleted with hail.
ouch. no, no thank you. the fact that my crocuses are coming up in JANUARY is making me a very happy camper indeed. then again, i'll imagine i'm in for my share of cold weather in moscow in early april, because i doubt that that city defrosts before may....
