seattle redux

so i was in seattle.

so i had a really great time, and i don't understand why *why why why* i can't be on permanent vacation. seriously. that would be the life, wouldn't it?

actually, it is also just great to be home. returning to the bay area today, i was met by sunshine galore, by a flowering garden, and the ability to wear my new lovely prescription sun glasses. woo-haa, it was great!

about the trip. a numbered list.
1. good food. pirogies at pike's place market. went to uwajimaya, huge japanese grocery store, and put together a hotel picnic meal. also delicious.
2. we even got to see a play at the ACT. "the woman in black" - spur of the moment ticket purchase, and we had a really fun time. i kept on looking over my shoulder, because i was, uhm, nervous. i did get freaked out during the show. apparently, it has been running in london's west end for 15 years already - neat.
3. aquarium. baby sea otter. three days old. it was fantastic. we didn't know that this little bundle of fur was there, and ended up spending half an hour watching it. really cute.
4. elliott bay book company. greatest bookstore ever. spent a few hours there.
5. working out at the hotel gym.

i could write oh-so-much more, but have no energy to do it. it was nice. we walked a lot. we bought some books. like i said, baby sea otter watching was fun. so was the creepy play. all in all, a great weekend.

later gaters, be good!
