so house-hunting is one of the most emotional and exhausting things i've ever done.
and, uhm, we've willingly put ourselves into the worst worst worst of rush hour traffice (think 7:30 or 8 am), to see the length of the commute. never again! of course, when you just know you'll turn around when you get to your destination, maybe stop and get a cup of coffee, that isn't so bad. the stress is lower. it is just sort of silly.
we found a house that we like, in a neighborhood called bryant. 2 bedrooms, finished basement (office space), deck in the small back yard, a fireplace, a lot of light, from 1925. we'll put a bid on it today, which is crazy. it might have multiple offers, and we might not get it. so i'm not holding my breath. except, of course, i am, and will be upset if we don't get it.
wish us luck! we head back to the bay area tomorrow evening....
