i made one of my favorite soups last night: a corn chowder with shrimp and a dollop of mashed potatoes in it, seasoned mostly with dill seed. i seriously love soups from scratch, and their warm, comforting flavor. even better: leftovers today for lunch!
we also watched a good movie from good ole netflix last night, called "my first mister", a sort of harold and maude with an old harold and a young maude. she writes her own eulogies (as opposed to staging her own suicides), and harold (well, randall in this case) isn't as upbeat about his own life, but is quite ill and tries to be the family for maude (jennifer) that she feels she doesn't have. wow, what poor writing that just was, but do i have energy to fix it? no m'am!
with the sun shining i'll have to meander outside a bit, take a walk, enjoy the fresh air, despite the stupid sniffles i've had all day (and which just have gotten worse). seriously, i hope this isn't still flu-shot-repercussions...
