there is just something cruel after 7 days of glorious, and i mean glorious sunshine, to wake up to a rainy day. but wait -- then we had sun peek through -- but wait: now it is friggin' hailing. all that gardening we did... i feel so bad for the plants.
heck, i feel bad for myself. hello, this hail thing is dumb. stop. thank you.
the great big sea concert was amazing. they hammed it up, totally loved the audience, did funny things like "sing-alongs" where they played music from the 80s and expected us to sing along ("sweet dreams are made of these... who am i to disagree") -- it was just a fun experience, especially given that the audience was so interactive and into the music. during the intermission/break between sets, a guy started singing one of their songs over the stuff being played on the sound system, and the entire audience belted out the refrain. that's just neat.
