cemetaries, cathedrals, and off to northwestern

january 6th, sunday, off to evanston today with emre and my folks. maybe to roxies for a bite to eat, though i doubt it, then home, then to a play about growing up catholic in the 1950's. forgot the name of it or the theatre, though the theatre is near wriggleyville where sophia lived where the cubs play.

mozart's requiem is playing. yesterday we drove to oaklawn cemetary on the southside, where jesse owens (olymp champ) is buried, where 6,000 confederate prisoners of war are buried, where mayor harold washington of chicago is buried. it was pretty impressive.

emre and i then headed to the oriental instute. and rockefeller chapel. hyde park tourism. it was a nice day. i like walking in the winter holding my love's hand. (sappy, a bit, ah well, such is my mood!)
