not a nutcase

i'm not a nutcase, honest. that last entry was actually what i end up thinking about in my chosen profession as an academic folklorist. that said: to reiterate, i've chosen a profession where people's cultural expressions and beliefs are what i am interested in, so regardless of the veracity of the matter, when people have expereriences (or believe to have experiences), it is their narratives that i am interested in, and what it may reflect about society, etc. SO. long story short, i'm really not nutty. its just part of my profession!
