swing of things
ah yes, "the swing of things". or, rather, "getting back into the swing of things". harumph. so.hard. especially when one still has jetlag.
the day is sunny, beautiful.
i've realized that i did miss a lot of things about the US, especially, well, california geography. and the food choices in the bay area. loved being in mendocino, at my grandma's. loved the afternoon i had in berkeley (campus, cafes). even the time in stanford was fun, walking across campus, going to the library there....
i guess it was also the quiet relaxation, the ability to focus on fun stuff without putting myself under too much pressure.... usually, when i relax, i end up feeling guilty. it was a guilt-free, fun trip.
meaning this morning was hard. i stressed. i panicked. i did not enjoy the fact that i had to "get back into the swing of things". and i'm still not enjoying it.
