dancin' queen
apparently it has been harder for me to sit down and write here. related, perhaps, to my general writer's block with my dissertation? that writing in general isn't so easy? *sighs*
hubby's advisor is taking hubby, the colleagues/group, and spouses out for dinner tonight, so that'll be nice. i enjoy going out to eat, i enjoy not having to cook sometimes. so we'll do that.
i planted more bulbs in the yard yesterday, since we have glorious spring weather. have i been enjoying the weather? no, not really, since i seem to be staying inside recently... *sighs again*. at least the bulbs were fun. even though we'll probably move, i'll be glad if i get to see them come up a bit, add a splash of purple to our yard.
a good friend of mine in berlin finished a draft of her dissertation a few days ago, and turned it in. i'm so proud of her, and at the same time i'm jealous of the concentration she had. how funny, how other people's accolades can sometime sting a bit. not in a bad way, though - because it might give me some motivation. we'll see.
highlight of my day? listening to "best of bollywood" cd. damn, makes me want to dance!
