skunked out
we were skunked out of our apartment tonight for circa 15 minutes.
coming back from our jog at 8:45 pm tonight, we were going to head up our steps to the apartment only to see a skunk eating the catfood. right.infront.of.our.door.like.oh.my.god. seriously, it was reason to freak out, since this little guy, cute as can be just like pepe le pew, raised his tail rather menacingly upon seeing us barrel up the stairs. we turned around mid step and fled to the garden patio table.
where we proceeded to sit. for 15 minutes. listening to monsieur le pew crunch and munch through the catfood meant for "the grey cat" and "droolio," two of the cats that come and see us on a regular basis. he finally had his share, and then left.
ah, the drama of living in suburban california! but not for long, not for long! who knows what wonderous animals await up in seattle.
