la la la la la house!
you know, it'll be hard to recap the whole whirlwind of a house-hunting trip (and the actual house buying) that we went through over the past 4 days. i wish i could have been writing more regularly up in seattle, but to give you an idea: we had no energy at the end of the evening even to watch TV. it was a really emotional time, both ups and downs: will we ever find something? i love this house, will we get it? oh crap, so many others traipsing though at the same time. oh crap, an open house on sunday. our agent telling us we have a good chance. waiting for the phone to ring. we got it? *yippee!*
the house is just neat. built in 1925. it has 1780 sq.ft. it needs (eek) a new roof. it has a deck in the yard. it has 2 nice bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a big kitchen with a *gas* stove (yippee!). it has a partially finished basement with room for an office, a 3rd bedroom, or a family room/den. fireplace, built-ins in the living room, and a nice dining room. i love it. absolutely love it. the last time i was in it, i also thought: hmm, wonder if we'll ever be in here again. turns out: YES INDEED!
