friday evening, which doesn't mean much. we could go out, but won't. maybe we will meet another stipendiatin (fellowshipholder) who will be at the seminar for cultural anthropology this year.

what else is new... we went to a coin laundromat today. worked ok. the clothes didn't all dry. i think we shall need to get a washing machine (dryers aren't big here, but i have a drying rack)...

i went to the library of above said seminar today, to browse, to poke around, to st�ber (the german word for it). got a sense of their own unique classification system, and will muddle through. the librarian, though, who literally guards the door, is a dragon-lady par excellence. she scares me a bit. has hair on her chin. is gruff. but i think she will be nice if i play things the right way. they have a strict lending policy, 1 book a weekend, and i figure i will be hanging out there a fair amount. ergo, i have to get it to work.

flea market this sunday which we will go to. to get decorative do-dads.

otherwise i'm anxious, surprise surprise, nothing new there. drinking pearl ice-tea, also known as bubble-tea. good stuff. those tapioca pearl drinks. they make me happy. we indulge way too often with those.
